Welcome,
Who are we ?

SAS ANDACY established in 2019, supplies distilleries with raw materials that have been recovered from the « prune d’ente » (plums) harvest.
During the « prune d’ente » harvest, a significant amount of waste is generated from by-products or from plums that are considered too small. Not only is this waste a useful raw material for distilleries but our re-distribution enables us to relieve farmers and cooperatives from the burden of disposing of this waste.
The ente plum
The « prune d’ente » is a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) fruit that is famously known as
« Agen Prunes » when dried.
Our company is situated right in the heart of this PGI.

Process

The rejected plums ans associated waste are transported by watertight tipper trucks to processing where the skin and pits are extracted. We are then able to supply our customers with optimum quality pulp.
Storage
The plum pulp is stored in vats for around ten days, this is the length of time it takes for quality fermentation to occur.

Transport

This is carried out by a company that specialises in transporting food to distilleries. Tanker trucks, with a capacity of around 300 hectolitres, are weighed on our weighbridge.
A few figures
Storage capacity =
700 tonnes
Seasonal production =
2000 tonnes

Projects and future development
We are currently researching the most environmentally friendly ways in which to dispose of our waste, the skin and core, as well as the carbon dioxide that is produced during fermentation.
